S-T Elementary Registration Information

REGISTRATION FOR SKIDMORE-TYNAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

for the 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR

All students, both new to S-T ISD AND returning S-T ISD elementary students, are required to register for the 2011-2012 school year in August.  Some families move out of our school district during the summer months, and formal student registration for the new school year allows our school to have an accurate student enrollment number and the staff members needed when the new school year starts.

Registration packets can be picked up at the elementary office beginning Monday, July 25, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and returned to the school office for their formal registration, according to the schedule below.  Elementary students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when the completed registration packet, with parent signatures, is brought to the school office. 

Monday, August 01               8:00 a.m.-12:00 noon – New* Student registration

                                                1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. – Pre-Kinder, Kinder and 1^st Grade

Tuesday, August 02               8:00 a.m.-12:00 noon – 2^nd Grade

                                                1:00p.m.-4:00 p.m. – 3^rd Grade

Wednesday, August 03          8:00 a.m.-12:00 noon – 4^th Grade

                                                1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. 5^th Grade

Parents with children in more than one grade level may register all children on the same day.

Head for Oceans of Fun

...with Club VBS: Beach Blast

Hurry sign up for this summer's Vacation Bible School today!!!  The First Baptist Church in Skidmore is kicking off their annual VBS tonight.  Join us in the FBCS Worship Center this evening at 6:00pm, bring a friend.  You can sign up tonight or visit the FBCSkidmore website for a downloadable registration form.

Vacation Bible School will be Monday through Friday nights, from 6:00 to 9:00pm this week (July 11-15).  Parents day will be Sunday, July 17th morning during worship service, starting at 11:00am.  The children that participate in VBS will present the songs they learned during the week.

There are also t-shirts available for purchase, $10.

S-T Graduate to Navy Honor Guard

Carisa A. Whitehurst

Carisa A. Whitehurst graduated September 25 from Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois.  She graduated personnel specialist A school as Honor Graduate and was promoted to an E-2.  Carisa left California on the USS Nimitz CVN 68 to her duty station in Bremerton, Washington.  Carisa is now an E-3 and an Honor Guard in Washington.  She is a 2010 graduate of Skidmore-Tynan High School and is the daughter of Laura Rios Zamora and the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Regino Rios of Portland.
