Former S-T graduate Marsha Rogers Coulter, recently helped found a Corpus Christi school for autistic children. Marsha's youngest daughter, and namesake of the organization, Hannah, was born with autism. Recognizing the need for a targeted educational environment for Hannah, and other children with the same disorder, Marsha, and husband Tommy Coulter, sought out other parents of autistic children to consolidate their resources. The result was Hannah's Hope, an organization dedicated to the education of children with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD). Though still in its infancy, the goal of Hannah's Hope is to provide a highly individualized program that will address the needs of each child utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis, a scientific discipline that has proven to be an effective intervention for individuals with Autism and Developmental Disabilitities.
