S-T Bands Present Christmas Concert

S-T Band Director Ron Burgess prepares to lead the 7th Grade Band in "Rudolf, the Red-Nosed Reindeer."

The Skidmore-Tynan Junior High and High School bands presented a Christmas Concert for the enjoyment of the community on Tuesday night. The concert opened with the 6th Grade Band performing Jolly Old St. Nicholas, and Up on a Housetop. The 7th Grade Band performed Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer, I'm Gettin' Nuthin' for Christmas, and Santa Claus is Coming to Town. To cap off the evening, the seasoned musicians of the 8th through 12th grades presented Silver Bells, I'll be Home for Christmas, the Little Drummer Boy, and Jingle Bell Rock. Band Director Ron Burgess complimented the students on their hard work and talent despite a few "tuning issues" and thanked the community for attending the concert and supporting of the S-T band program.
