Lisa Guerra competed in the Visual Arts Scholastic Event STATE Competition on April 15th and 16th in Houston at the University of Houston in Clear Lake. She was among 48 regional state finalists from the South Texas area. Among these finalists, less than 10 received the State Title and Superior Recognitition! Lisa was one of those! There were about 2,000 competitors from all across Texas that competed for this title and less than 600 people earned recognition. Lisa was also the ONLY 2A student to win in our region! Lisa's painting, "Art is Music to the Eyes" is on display in the Skidmore-Tynan Library.
