Bee County Crime Stoppers representative Cathey Brown reminds the Signal that criminal activity in the area has been up for the past few months. Crime Stoppers has contacted several local businesses in an effort to collect funds to be used as reward money. The State does not fund Crime Stoppers. Reward money is gathered solely through donations or fund raisers. If your business is interested in contributing to the rewards fund, please send your donation to Beeville Crime Stoppers, P.O. Box 1568, Beeville, Texas 78104-1568. Contributors may specify that reward money go for tips on crimes committed in the Skidmore-Papalote-Tynan area. If you have information about a crime committed in Bee County, call the *Bee County Tips Line at 597-0206.
*The tip line does not have caller ID, and no numbers are on the printout of the phone bill. No one, not even Crime Stoppers or law enforcement, will ever know the name of the tipster.
