Ty White on the service line at the District 31-2A Tennis Meet.The Skidmore-Tynan Varsity and Junior Varsity tennis squads competed in the District Meet Tuesday, April 10th, at Beeville's Coastal Bend College courts.
Skidmore-Tynan had the Mixed Doubles Division pretty well wrapped up. Placing 1st in Varsity Mixed Doubles were Chris Patrova & Alexis Schmidt who defeated Zach Petrus & Meghan Bloemer in the championship game. Cody Chambers & Robert Brown placed 4th in Varsity Boys Doubles and Ty White placed 4th in Varsity Boys Singles. Also competing on the Varsity squad were Reed Berry, Allison Porter, and Devon Wilder.
In the Junior Varsity division, Kathy Mireles placed 3rd in Girls Singles, and Joe Rey Gonzales teamed up with Carisa Whitehurst to place 3rd in Mixed Doubles. Representing the S-T Junior Varsity in Girls Doubles were Whitney Bohac & Jessica Cochran, and Sagan Gabbert & Blair Boatright; Boys Doubles, Lloyd Glew & John Arrisola, and Jeff Burris & Robbie Ramirez; and Boys singles, Dual Herzog and Cody Coker.
