The Skidmore Historical Society broke with tradition this year and held its annual Christmas party at Shorty's restaurant in Beeville. In previous years, Mrs. Betty Strong served as hostess for the event at Papa's Market. With Papa's undergoing extensive renovations, the group opted to play it safe and opt for a temporary change of venue.
