Skidmore-Tynan Junior High School hosted the District 30 AA meet on January 23, 2010. The young Bobcats and Lady Cats kept the first place plaque at home as they scored 672 points to win the meet.Ninety Three students from Skidmore-Tynan competed with students from Bloomington, Banquete, Taft, Odem-Edroy and Refugio Middle Schools in eighteen different academic events.
There were over four hundred students and well over one hundred faculty, staff and parents from the participating schools on the Skidmore - Tynan Campus. “With the help of our wonderful faculty, staff and VIPS parents, the entire meet ran smoothly” said Debbie Adamez who coordinated the entire event.
There will be an awards ceremony on the 12th of February to recognize the accomplishments of these students.
