The Bobcat Junior All-Stars recite the Little League Pledge.
The Bobcat Little League Minor, Major, and Junior All-Stars put up a valiant fight before finally being eliminated from the district tournament. The Minor All-Stars fell to Woodsboro in their first game by the narrow score of 8-7, rallied for a win over Ingleside in game 2, and were outgunned by Sinton 22-6 in their final game. The Major All-Stars also lost their first game to Woodsboro 8-2, then suffered a heartbreaking 10-9 loss to the team from South Live Oak after a strong late-game rally tied the score 9-9. Refugio defeated the Junior boys 6-3 in a close fought game that could easily have gone either way and Orange Grove followed suit in a more decisive 13-7 win over the Bobcats. All three teams are to be congratulated for keeping the scores respectable - especially considering this was their first year of All-Star play under the mantle of Bobcat Little League.

The next highway clean-up in honor of Brett Michael Huser will take place on Brett's birthday, July 18th 2004, in San Antonio. Brett passed away February 6, 2004 in a fatal car accident. Participants in the clean-up will meet at the Starbucks at l604 and Blanco at 2:00 pm. Brett's mother, Desiree Huser, writes " The clean-up will be a wonderful time for all of Bretts family and friends to get to know one another better and remember him on his special day. May God continue to bless each and everyone of you and, if you do decide to journey to San Antonio on the 18th, may you have a safe trip."
Bobcat Little League thanks KFTX 97.5 "Real Country" for their generous donation of Aviators tickets. KFTX General Manager "Dr. Bruce" Stratton provided enough tickets to send all three All-Star teams to see an Aviators game in Robstown. The Junior All-Stars had a blast at the Amarillo "Dillas" game last weekend and the Majors and Minors plan to catch Friday's "Pennant Night" match-up against Pensacola. Thank you Dr. Bruce!
