A car drives through water flowing across the Aransas River bridge.As of 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 4th, water was flowing through the guardrails of the southbound lane of the Aransas River bridge, 1 mile north of Skidmore. Crews were on hand preparing to close the bridge to traffic.
Update: The water level appears to have subsided and as of 2:00 a.m., Thursday, the bridge is open.
