Do you have old car batteries, pesticide containers, or used motor oil at your home or farm? If so, now's the time to safely dispose of them. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is sponsoring the Texas Country Cleanup.Items accepted include Lead-Acid batteries (car, boat, tractor, etc.), used motor oil and filters (limit two 55-gallon drums of oil per participant), transmission fluids, brake fluids, power steering fluids, and empty plastic pesticide containers (high pressure or triple rinsed with lids and paper instructions removed).
