Long time Skidmore resident Eliseo Garcia celebrated his 101st birthday on February 8, 2007. Mr. Garcia was honored with a mass, a reception and a dance on Feb.10 at the Chick-a-Saw, where he celebrated with family and friends. Mr. Garcia also received a letter from President George W. Bush wishing him a Happy Birthday. "We hope you have a great year grandpa," said granddaughter Terri Gonzales.
