Ray Burris informs the Signal that wild Blackberries are now ripening along Texas roadways, creeks, and rivers. Mr. Burris writes "Jeff and I picked 6.5 lbs in just about an hour below the Aransas Creek Bridge on 181 Thursday evening. They are so thick you have to be careful where you step. We poked around the vines with a stick to scare off any snakes before picking each area."
