At least one local resident awoke Monday morning to find a several-hundred-pound hog rooting up her Wandering Jew. The owner of the escaped porker (while attempting to lure it into his trailer with a bucket of corn) reported that two other hogs were loose in the vicinity of Rockie Stautzenberger's house and that considering their size "They pretty much do whatever they want." On a side note, the hog pictured above is standing squarely on the site of the original Skidmore Signal newspaper office located at E. Patricio and 3rd Street back in the early 1900's.
