CBC Sets Date for Freshman Orientation

Sears Goes Above and Beyond in Support of Military Families

"How does Sears treat its employees who are called up for military duty? By law, they are required to hold their jobs open and available, but nothing more. Usually, people take a big pay cut and lose benefits as a result of being called up. Sears is voluntarily paying the difference in salaries and maintaining all benefits, including medical insurance and bonus programs, for all called up reservist employees for up to two years." -- Link to story submitted to the Signal by Mr. Reeys Falcon. Put Your Bobcat Pride on Display with Purchase of Football Program Ad

The Skidmore Tynan Athletic Booster Club is currently selling ads for the program sold at all home games during the football season. If your family or business has previously purchased ads for the program and are currently interested in purchasing ads again, please call any Booster Club member or contact Homer Solis at 287-3616 for more information. The funds raised through the sales of these ads provide all our athletes with items Coach Arroyo may not otherwise be allowed to purchase with his budget.

Once again, the Booster Club voted to prepare and serve brisket plates at our first home game against Bishop on Friday, August 31st. Make plans to have dinner at the ball game and show your support for the Bobcats or pick up plates to enjoy at home. Pre-sale tickets will be available soon – or just come by the field and pay for your plates the night of the game. Volunteers will be needed all day. This traditional event requires the help of all that have time to contribute. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated by all and will help ensure that this event will continue for years to come.

The next Booster Club meeting is scheduled for August 6th at 7pm in the annex next to the weight room. Please make plans to be there and find out what else is going on throughout the year. -- Homer Solis, Booster Club President

iPurchased the iPhone

The much anticipated "iPhone" hit the market Friday, June 29. I was one of the Apple faithful standing in line at the Beeville at&t/Cingular store although I left without making a purchase. You see, I am not one to immediately jump on the next "hot gizmo" bandwagon. I bought mine Saturday.
