How to Shut Off Your Gas
in an Emergency

• Know where your gas meter is before an emergency occurs.
• Have a wrench stored in a specific location where it will be available.
• If you smell or hear gas escaping after a storm or any emergency, turn off your gas at the meter as shown.
• Use a crescent wrench and give it a quarter turn in either direction so that it runs crosswise on the pipe. The line is now closed.

Keep your eyebrows: Remember that turning off the gas at the meter does not mean there is no gas remaining in the line to your home. Allow time for the remaining gas to be bled off by a stove or pilot light before commencing repairs. If in doubt, call a professional.

Bobcats 4th at Ingleside Tourney

Leading the team in batting, Ricky Gutierrez and Zach Petrus were named All-Tourney.

The Bobcat baseball squad traveled to Ingleside Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, March 6-8, to compete in the annual Mustang baseball tournament. The Cats defeated a tough San Diego squad 5-3 on Thursday to advance in the winners bracket, then fell to Ingleside 3-0 in game two on Friday. Game three saw the Cats matched up against District rival Odem for the 3rd Place trophy. Despite loading the bases in early innings, the Bobcats were unable to score until late in the game after the Owls had built a commanding lead. The Owls prevailed 12-4. We predict the results of Friday's District matchup will be much less one-sided. Click here for more photos of the Ingleside baseball tournament.
