Thanks to Head Start Teachers

I would like to take the time to Thank the Skidmore-Tynan Head start Teachers Mrs. Aguilar and Mrs. Perez for the great job they are doing. The kids love these two teachers. Sometimes the teachers do not get the credit they deserve. We as parents forget, not only are they teachers, but parents also. The parent committee is doing a great job. Just know that parents from the Skidmore-Tynan community support and Thank-you. -- Sincerely, Terri Gonzales

Ladycats 43 Bloomington 24

The Ladycats beat Bloomington 43 to 24 Tuesday, February 10th, in Skidmore. "The girls got off to a slow start but from the 2nd quarter on the gils did a great job on both sides of the ball," said coach Joseph Grimes III. "A big reason why these girls went undefeated in District this season was the way they played defense. They didn't allow many 2nd chance shots by any District team and had a defensive scoring average of 25.9. When you play good defense, you will win a lot of games." Rachel Mengers led the Ladycats in scoring with 12 points, followed by Courtney Vandever with 9, and Devon Wilder with 8. The Ladycats were a perfect 10-0 in District and 24-9 for the season.
