Tynan Fall Fest Cook Off Winners

The Tynan Recreation Club (TRC) held its 54th Annual Tynan Recreation Club Fall Festival and 7th Annual Barbecue Cook Off on Saturday October 13, 2007. There were 16 teams entered paying an entry fee of $60.00 which benefits the Bee County Jr Live Stock Show. The event was sanctioned by the International Barbeque Cookers Association (IBCA) with Russell (Big Rus) Smidth presiding as Head Judge. Each catagorie: Brisket, Pork Sparebibs, Chicken, and Dessert Pie received a trophy for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The Bean catagory was a cash prize. The "Grand Champion" was awarded a trophy.

Each team received an apron donated by Arnold Oil Co., Inc. of Corpus Christi, with the TRC Cook Off Logo. The Trophies were sponsored by Edcot Coop Gin Co of Edroy and made by Trophies of Victoria in Victoria. The Condiments for the Judging Table was sponsored in part by Horney's Bar of Swinney Switch and other personal donations.
