High culture was the theme for the day, Monday, May 12, as S-T ISD hosted its annual Spring Art Exhibit and Concert. The art exhibit opened at 3:45 in the afternoon. Artwork in various medias lined the walls of the school cafetorium, carefully watched over by Art Instructor Raymond Chaney.

At 7:00, the Bobcat Junior High and High school bands took the stage, led by conductor Homer Yzaguirre. The audience enjoyed a variety of musical selections performed by the 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade bands. The High School band capped off the evening with performances of Ojo de Aguila, Canterbury Walk, Portrait of a Clown, and a montage of music from The Lion King.

S-TISD High School Principal Patricia Holubec proudly announced the band earned a Superior performance rating at the Spring in the Park Music Festival in Arlington, Texas. The Superior rating was the highest achievable at the festival. In addition, the Band was named Best in Class. Students participating in the festival included Erica Hall, Whitney Bohac, Lyndsi Pace, Jessica Cochran, Jamie Bomer, Chriselda Borrego, Kathy Mireles, Victory Lopez, Michael Coker, Joseph Salinas, Johnny Alexander, Gabriella Garibay, Melanie Minter, Beth Gonzales, Jeff Burris, Margarita Aguilar, Robert Henshall, Wille Stridde, Jose Molina, Edward Olivarez, and Hollis Stubenthal.
