While browsing the University of Texas online library catalog, we came across a reference to microfilm copies of the original Skidmore Signal newspaper established by C.H. Blanton back in the early 1900's. The Signal ordered and received a duplicate copy of the microfilm and hopes to publish excerpts from the newspaper over the next few weeks. The newspaper appears to have been published weekly from around 1905 to 1918. Sadly, it appears only a dozen or so issues of the 13 volumes survived. If anyone knows of any other copies hidden away in someone's attic, please notify the Signal!
