On Thursday night the Bobcat J.V. football team was involved in a thriller against the Three Rivers Bulldogs. “Shoot Out” is the best phrase to describe the Bobcat’s 36-30 victory. An enormous amount of credit goes to the offensive line’s dominating performance. Outstanding job: Kyle Wilson (T), Joe Torres (GD), John Scott (C), Brad Butler (GD), Donato Salinas (T), and Rene Jimenez (TE). The 36 points scored included 2 touchdowns by Manny Flores, 2 by J.D. White, and 1 by Zach Mengers.
The Bobcat’s victory was attained in large part as a result of an onside kick recovered by Brandon Smith with just over 5 minutes left in the game. At that point the Bobcats were down 30-28, and the ensuing drive led to the winning score.
