Son of S-T Graduate Competes in Junior Olympics

10 year old Kolton Allen, son of Skidmore-Tynan Class of 83' grad Kevin Allen and wife Georgia of Lexington Tx, and grandson of Rita Allen of Corpus Christi, recently qualified in the 3000 meter run for AAU Jr. Olympics Nationals in Des Moines, Iowa. Bobcat Regional Track Results

Results are in on the District 31-2A Regional Track Meet and while no one made it to State, Coach Anthony Ray reports "We are in a very tough region, and the guys realize how much harder they have to work next year. Seniors Jeremy Johnson, Matt Brown, and Jairus Yzaguirre will be missed terribly but we have some young guns ready to step in and fill their shoes."

Ladycat runners Courtney Vandever, Simone Adkison, Amanda Boscamp, and Victoria Lopez, ran their best time of the year in the 800 Meter Relay (1:53:44) according to Coach Ray who noted that although none of the girls advanced to State this year, "the whole group will be back next year to compete again."

Yzaguirre All-District Cross Country

This will come as no surprise to most, but Skidmore-Tynan's Jairus Yzaguirre has been named to the All District 31-2A Cross Country team. Jairus has done our school proud all year long and certainly has well earned this post-season honor. Yzaguirre 14th at State XC Meet

Congratulations to Skidmore-Tynan's Jairus Yzaguirre who placed 14th overall in the 2A Division of the 2006 State Cross Country Meet in Round Rock. Jairus finished with a time of 17:08:35.

Yzaguirre Qualifies for State

Congratulations to Jairus Yzaguirre who qualified for the State Cross Country Meet. Jairus finished 5th in Saturday's Region IV Meet in San Antonio and will move on to the 2006 Cross Country State Championships, Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, Texas. Jairus placed 6th in last year's State Meet.
