Bobcat Little League Announces Upcoming Fundraisers

Members of the Bobcat Little League Board of Directors met Wednesday at the Chisholm Trail Cafe. Adrian Pena, president of the Mathis Little League, spoke briefly to the board about the possibility of inter-league play. Bobcat Little League currently plans to inter-league primarily with Beeville but may allow special games with other local leagues. Board members discussed two upcoming fundraisers, the first of which is the sale of barbecue wraps at this weekend's High School Track Meet. On Saturday March 27th, the league will sponsor a cook-off and silent auction at the Bee County Coliseum Fairgrounds. A vote on splitting the Junior Boys division into two separate teams passed by a narrow margin. Practices will begin Monday, March 22. The next Bobcat Little League meeting will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at the Chisholm Trail Cafe.
