Community Turns Out in Force to Support Boy Scout Fundraiser

Scouts load up barbecue plates at the Skidmore Fire Station.

One of the nicest things about life in a small town is how everyone pitches in to support local youth programs. Sunday's Boys Scouts barbecue brisket fundraiser was no exception with folks coming from far and wide to help our local Troop 456 raise money for its "5th Annual Boy Scout Summer Camp." And in true scouting fashion, a courteous young man was on hand outside to help folks carry to-go plates to their cars.
