Skidmore-Tynan Junior High Rewards Students

Skidmore-Tynan Junior High’s “Reward’s Night” was held January 13, 2011.  According to counselor Judy Garza, one hundred and forty students were invited to participate and one hundred and twenty one students attended.

In order to be eligible to participate in this event, students must have met certain criteria in the areas of academics, discipline and attendance for the entire first semester.

The VIPS –Valuable Instructors and Parents in Schools organization served pizza, nachos, Frito pie, drinks and other goodies to the students.  Various activities were held in each classroom to provide the students entertainment.
These activities included karaoke, board games, arts and crafts, photo booth, darts, video games, button making, Wii games etc.

Campus Principal John Matus visited every classroom congratulating the students for their hard work, dedication and good character while encouraging others to ensure they qualify for the next “Rewards Night”.
