Four and a half inches of rain was recorded in Skidmore Friday.
A powerful thunderstorm rolled through Skidmore around 3:00pm Friday bringing high winds, flooding rains, and a few small hailstones. The storm forced Beeville Little League to cancel their opening day ceremonies Saturday due to saturated fields. Since our local Bobcat Little League competes against Beeville and North Bee County in inter-league play, games scheduled for Saturday will be played on Saturday, April 17th.
