Back Through Time History Trail

The Highway 181 Historical Association invites those interested in local history to attend the second annual "Back Through Time History Trail" to be held at 26 sites in six counties June 4-5, 2005. Highlighting the 100 year period from 1830 to 1930, the trail will include activities, events, exhibits, and displays at sites along State Highway 181 from Floresville to Taft with side-trip excursions to Helena, Nordheim, Yorktown, Cuero, Goliad, and Berclair.

Trail brochures are available at the Bee County Chamber of Commerce Convention and Visitors Bureau. You may also pick up a copy at one of Skidmore's cafes or convenience stores. For more information, please call the Chamber at 361-358-3267.

The Bee County Historical Society seeks donations for its annual Antiques & Collectibles Yard Sale to be held in conjunction with the History Trail. The event will be held June 4th at the McClanahan House Museum at 206 E. Corpus Christi Street. Proceeds from the sale will be used to fund much needed repairs on the historic museum house. Those wishing to donate items large and small are asked to call 361-375-2558.
