Garcia, Stautzenberger, Ramos Awarded Bobcat/Ladycat of the Year

The three student athletes were recognized at Monday's 2004-2005 S-T Sports Banquet.

James Garcia and Blake Stautzenger shared the honor of being named "Bobcat of the Year" in the 2004-2005 S-T High School Sports Banquet. Rebecca Ramos was named "Ladycat of the Year."

Outgoing Booster Club President Bud Howard opened the ceremonies, followed by Rev. Lee Bevly, Jr. who delivered the blessing of the meal. Trooper Tayor, Assistant Head Coach and Running Back Coach for the University of Tennessee, was the featured speaker of the evening. Coach Taylor delivered a rousing motivational speech to the student athletes, encouraging them to work hard to do right by themselves and their fellow teammates. "Right will follow right, and wrong will follow wrong" he advised.

Prior to the presentation of awards, S-T Athletic Director Adam Arroyo pointed out that Skidmore-Tynan was the only school in our district to send teams to the playoffs in all of the "big three" sports of football, basketball, and baseball. Coaches and athletes alike are to be congratulated on the accomplishment.
