Earn Medical Certification by Spring

Learn the skills needed to fill medical care positions in the community. Coastal Bend College offers Phlebotomy in Beeville on Mondays and Wednesdays, 1-5 p.m., Jan. 10 through Feb. 19, 2007 with clinicals through March 26. Learn Venitech skills and prepare for the state exam. The cost is $457.75 plus text books.

Those interested in becoming certified home health aides, certified nurse’s assistants (CNA), and CPR certified can do so now through Coastal Bend College. Courses will be held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, Jan. 16 through April 4, 2007. Clinicals will be held on Saturdays. Classes will be held in Beeville. Cost is $498.50, plus text books and required shots.

Working CNAs can advance their skills with a certificate in Medical Administration I. Participants will earn 14 continuing education credits for completion of this course. The course will run Tuesdays and Thursdays, Feb. 6 through June 5, 2007, 5-9 p.m. Cost is $419 plus text books.
