Two Bee County non-profit organizations are offering one of kind gifts this Christmas season. In this win-win opportunity, shoppers are able to purchase a unique gift while helping a local charity at the same time. “Once Upon a Time” Commemorative Cookbooks featuring recipes from Tuleta community pioneers and present day residents are being sold in a fundraiser sponsored by the Tuleta Community Improvement Program. Cookbooks sell for $10.00 each and may be purchased at the Historic Park Hotel Antiques Shoppe and Canine Country Grooming in Tuleta or by calling 375-2558.
The Pet Assistance Association’s “2007 Celebrity Cat and Distinguished Dog Pet Calendars” are now available. The calendars feature local and area pet celebrities from Corpus Christi, San Antonio, and Port Isabell. Included in the calendar are volunteer opportunities working with orphan animals and pet care tips. Money raised from calendar sales goes to the “Wags and Whiskers Animal Rescue Facility” building fund. Calendars may be purchased at Martin Martin’s Package Store and Curves in Beeville.
